Replacing a Flat Tire

Keeping an array of basic skills in your repertoire can help you even if you have very little experience working with cars. In addition to saving you money, these skills can also save you from spending hours stranded on the side of the road. Changing a flat tire is one such valuable skill.

Ensure your vehicle is parked on a sturdy surface, shut off your engine and engage your parking brake. Before you lift your car with the jack, slightly loosen the lug nuts. Raise your car and finish loosening the nuts, replacing the flat with your spare. Hand-tighten the lug nuts, then lower your car and finish tightening the lug nuts, using the pattern recommended by your owner's manual.

If you need a flat repaired or wish to buy a whole new set of tires, stop by Kyner's Auto Sales, where we'll repair the damage and have you back on the road as quickly as possible.
